Stories from the coastal edge: Streedagh Point and road to Glencar Waterfall, Sligo, Ireland #5

On Monday 20th November we continue on our rented car trip and headed to Streedagh Point north of Sligo. The light kept changing and I loved the grass swaying in the sand dunes. Our AirbandB host told us when we checked in that "Streedagh is the preserve of the rich, but we go there anyway!" Below, I sometimes add an Adobe Lightroom Classic presets to a shot as an experiment. Sometimes they are posted just as I took them. Great to have Benbulben as a backdrop in some shots.

After a spot of brunch served by a 'Derry Girl', we then hit the road through Gleniff Horseshoe Valley (very like Mordor; note that the Game of Thrones locations are further North) to Glencar Waterfall.

We have coffee at the cafe next to the Waterfall then head back to Sligo, where we have a last meal and pack ready for our early morning drive to Knock Airport.

It was great to spend time with Billy. He is is funny, intelligent and full of energy. People tell me he looks like me. I reply as follows. Thank God he is better looking! And, you should see pictures of my sadly departed younger Brother Ian, also a ginger haired, funny and loving man with edge. This photo led my ex to quip: "Did I spend a night with Ian and forgot about it?" Priceless 🙂
