Made my second trip to the edge of Yorkshire, the East Coast, on Sunday 7^th August. I'm checking out places from my past. At least 35 known settlements from this bit of coast have been lost to coastal erosion since Roman times. No I am not that old. And, not a lotta people know that! Auburn, which was abandoned in the 16th Century and is now under the waves, was one such settlement. I sat on Fraisthorpe beach that looks on to the sea covering Auburn. Mum and Dad used to come here a lot in the '90s, even in the snow! It was a lot quieter then, now there is a cafe and large car park.
